
The Daiwa Fine Chemicals Group started out as a trading company specializing in food products. Amid today’s heightened concern about food safety, we offer reliable ingredients and food additives made principally from natural sources. Our customers are in a wide range of sectors in the food and food processing industries, including restaurants and health foods. We supply soy sauce, kelp (kombu), dried bonito flakes (katsuobushi), shiitake mushrooms, salt, soybean paste (miso), sesame and a variety of other basic natural cooking ingredients. We use our experience and expertise to scrutinize the origin and characteristics of our ingredients and select the best for our customers’ recipes.

To play our part in promoting healthy living, we are concentrating our search in Europe for high-quality health food ingredients. We are currently developing products using collagen, yeast, blueberries, and dolomite (naturally occurring calcium extracted from rock formations in Northern Europe), as well as markets for these products. We also market macromolecular DNA products manufactured at our Kamaishi Factory.
