Daiwa Fine Chemicals’ Akashi Factory is the production center for DAIN brand high-functionality plating agents and VERZONE corrosion inhibitors. Here, manufacturing technologists work hard to enhance the factory’s technological and logistical capabilities in all areas, to ensure consistent production of high-quality products. Building on an impressive accumulated technology base, we will continue to actively invest in the expansion of the Akashi Factory and introducing the latest equipment to respond to increasingly diverse customer needs.

Staff at the Akashi Factory have expended a great deal of energy and used the latest equipment in constructing a proprietary small-batch production system. This enables us to manufacture pure, high-quality products at low cost and with short delivery times, with the flexibility to respond to evolving customer requirements. And being a chemical works, the Akashi Factory has to take health, safety and the environment extremely seriously. Our environmental protection system combines activated sludge processing, coagulation and gas adsorption to treat wastewater and gases.
Our Kamaishi Factory is located in Iwate Prefecture, which has the second highest salmon catch in Japan after Hokkaido. Here we use DNA extracted from salmon milt to manufacture high-purity products used in everything from health foods and cosmetics to pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals. Because of the macromolecular (over 6 million) of DNA manufactured at Kamaishi, it can be made into fibers and films; future applications are expected to include conductive and polarizing films.
