Our manufacturing work has grown to four sites. Three are in Japan, with our Akashi and Akashi Nishi factories in the Kansai area and the Kamaishi factory in the Tohoku area. The fourth location is our factory in Taiwan. Advanced manufacturing technologies and the latest equipment allow us to respond to any of our customers’ needs.
The Daiwa Kasei Group’s central plant is located in the city of Akashi’s Futami Coastal Industrial Park. The facility primarily manufactures brand name products such as VERZONE® and DAINSORB®. Our unique production system enables high-mix low-volume operations, which means we can offer a stable supply of high-purity, high-quality products within a short turnaround time at low cost.
The Akashi-Nishi Factory is designed around its clean room facilities. The plant specializes in the manufacturing of plating solutions for high-precision, extremely small electronic components that are sensitive to contamination, dust, and the like. As membrane thickness becomes ever slimmer, we continue to evolve our production technology on a daily basis.
At the Kamaishi Factory, we extract high-purity DNA-related components from the soft roe of salmon caught off the local Sanriku Coast, which are then manufactured into a powdered product. We are also working to open up new markets by developing additional product forms and applications.
This factory is at the vanguard of our global operations. Fully equipped with a clean room, the plant mostly manufactures surface finishing chemicals for tin plating in semiconductors and other electronic components.
We have a rigorous, consistent quality assurance system based on the ISO 9001 standard. The Quality Assurance Division’s role is to work with the group’s R&D arm to monitor production processes to ensure we can provide our customers with reliable, high-quality products. We are particularly careful when analyzing hazardous substances, and our overriding goal in this area is to strengthen the quality control system and improve measurement precision.
